Rock Paper Scissors is right at home at its South Fremantle salon location in an atmosphere of creativity and aesthetic styling. The interior of the salon is decorated indi-chic, and could be located anywhere in the world. But the smell of salty air lets you know that you’re a minute away from the beach or the centre of Fremantle.
At the heart of all this culture and sophistication is the senior stylist and salon owner – Pauline. It should come as no surprise to learn that Pauline is something of an artist herself, as well as being one of the most impressive hair stylists in Perth. Having honed her skills in London, Berlin, Los Angeles and Sydney, and worked with some of fashion’s biggest names such as Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Armani, Valentino and Vivienne Westood on their international shows, Pauline is a woman at the top of her craft. But Rock Paper Scissors is far from a one-woman-show. The rest of the team share the same high commitment to the craft and have impressive résumé’s in their own right.
This standard of excellence is to be expected once you learn that Rock Paper Scissors is a Kevin Murphy Session Salon. For those not already in the know, Kevin Murphy is about as famous as Australian editorial hair styling gets. Only a few select salons get to bear his name. This means that they are the first to know about the latest styles and trends; keeping them on the cutting-edge of hair technology and innovation.
One would assume that with Rock Paper Scissors being located in Fremantle, environmental concerns would be at the forefront of their minds – and this is certainly the case. The salon is run on solar-power and is dedicated to using products that are sulphur and paraben free, cruelty free and eco friendly; so you can rest assured that
Mother Nature loves the salon just as much as you will!
If you needed any more reasons to believe that Rock Paper Scissors is a first-class salon (which is unlikely) they have also been accredited as a Silver Salon by the Australian Hairdressing council (they are now being assessed for Gold Salon Status) which is the benchmark for industry standards.
To see what a truly artistic and creative team can do with your hair, head down to Rock Paper Scissors, and while you’re there enjoy a coffee – or something more substantial – from Alchemy Cafe located right next door.
